Introducing Zoltan Szalontay

I am a professionally trained Ballroom and Latin dance instructor graduating with a BA from the Hungarian Dance Academy.   I began dancing at a very young age and have been teaching for the past seventeen years.  I was both Regional and National Hungarian Champion and have represented Hungary with my formation team in several European and World championships, winning on three occasions. I was a registered dancesport trainer of the Hungarian Dancesport Association. I have travelled extensively taking part in dance festivals, TV performances and events.I have also trained children, couples and teams to represent my country.

My mission is to show people how dancing can bring happiness into their lives.  Dancing is therapeutic, builds confidence, self-esteem and a sense of wellbeing.  Learning to dance is a great way to combine exercise with creativity and I help clients to achieve their dancing goals whilst having fun. 

My journey as a professionally trained Latin dance instructor and professionally trained ballroom dance instructor has allowed me to amass valuable experiences that have honed my skills and deepened my understanding of the art form. Over the years, my passion for dance has not only remained consistent, but it has been constantly fuelled by the joy and satisfaction I derive from teaching others. I believe that anyone, regardless of age or ability, can experience the magic of movement and rhythm.

In my role as a professionally trained Latin dance instructor, I am able to impart the intricate techniques and passionate rhythms of this vibrant dance form. Similarly, as a professionally trained ballroom dance instructor, I possess the knowledge and skill to teach the grace and elegance of these traditional dances. My training at the esteemed Hungarian Dance Academy has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of both these disciplines. Over my seventeen-year teaching career, I have strived to share this knowledge with dancers of all levels.

In addition to being a former Regional and National Hungarian Champion, I have also had the honour of representing Hungary at various European and World championships. These opportunities exposed me to different styles and techniques that have greatly influenced my teaching methods.

Having been both a Regional and National Hungarian Champion, I know what it takes to compete at the highest levels. This experience has allowed me to guide my students in their own competitive journeys. Representing Hungary in several European and World championships was an honour; winning on three occasions was the icing on the cake. Being registered as a dancesport trainer by the Hungarian Dancesport Association further validates my expertise in this field.

As a registered dancesport trainer of the Hungarian Dancesport Association, I had the privilege of shaping budding talents while upholding high standards in competitive dancing. My travels for dance festivals, TV performances and events have granted me a global perspective on dance culture, adding richness to my classes.

Travel has always played a significant part in my career, taking me to numerous dance festivals, TV performances and events across continents. Each experience has enriched me professionally, broadening my horizons and informing my teaching approach in unique ways.

Throughout my seventeen-year-long teaching career, I have been committed to sharing my love for Ballroom and Latin dancing with students across all walks of life. My experience extends beyond teaching and performing. I have also been involved in choreographing for various competitions and shows, ensuring each performance is unique and captivating. In addition to this, I was fortunate enough to serve on several judging panels for prestigious dance competitions across Europe.

My mission as an instructor continues to be inspiring others through the art of dance and helping them discover their own unique rhythm.
